UPDATE IN CONTRACEPTION: NEW GUIDELINES AND A NEW OTC PILL

Upon completion of this activity, pharmacists will be able to:
1. Using the US Medical Eligibility Criteria, identify contraindications to different forms of contraception.
2. Describe the efficacy and safety of a new over-the-counter contraceptive pill.
3. Assess the ability of consumers to screen for appropriate self-selection of an over-the-counter contraceptive pill.
Upon completion of this activity, technicians will be able to:
1. Describe barriers to contraceptive access.
2. List contraindications to different forms of contraception.
3. Identify common side effects of a new over-the-counter contraceptive pill.
