February Virtual Meeting and CE Event: Coronavirus Vaccine Update

Upon completion of this activity, pharmacists will be able to: 

1. Identify the platforms utilized by the COVID-19 vaccines. 

2. Review vaccines being used under Emergency Use Authorization in the United States. 

3. Review vaccines pending Emergency Use Authorization in the United States. 

4. Implement updated administration guidance for the vaccines. 

5. Discuss SARS-CoV-2 variants under investigation. 

Upon completion of this activity, pharmacy technicians will be able to: 

1. Recognize there are various new vaccine platforms being utilized for SARS-CoV-2. 

2. Identify vaccines currently available. 

3. Identify vaccines that may become available in the near future. 

4. Assist the pharmacist with recognizing variations in vaccine administration.

 5. Recall the number of SARS-CoV-2 variants currently being investigated.
