THEY ARE COMING: THE RSV VACCINES

Upon completion of this activity, pharmacists will be able to: 

1. Describe the symptoms, signs, and course of RSV disease in adults and children 

2. Describe the epidemiology and risk factors for RSV disease 

3. Compare and contrast the two RSV vaccines 

4. Discuss the clinical considerations that may influence the decisions to vaccinate. 

Upon completion of this activity, technicians will be able to: 

1. List the two vaccines now approved by the FDA and recommended by the CDC (ACIP) 

2. Compare the two RSV vaccines 

3. Identify the potential patients based on ACIP recommendations
