PHARMACY FEUD: 2025 GOLD GUIDELINES EDITION

Upon completion of this activity, pharmacists will be able to:

1. Given a patient case with either newly diagnosed COPD, follow-up, or a COPD exacerbation, design a patient-

centered plan that incorporates pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic 2025 GOLD guideline recommendations.

2. Compare the efficacy and safety of new treatments added to the 2025 GOLD Guidelines and categorize their

place in therapy.

3. Summarize the significant additions to the 2025 GOLD Guidelines, including cardiovascular risk, climate change,

pulmonary hypertension, and managing patients currently on LABA-ICS.

Upon completion of this activity, technicians will be able to:

1. Recognize the significant updates for the management of COPD.

2. Compare the new treatments added to the 2025 GOLD Guidelines, ensifentrine and dupilumab.

3. Identify appropriate inhalers used for treating COPD as recommended by the 2025 GOLD Guidelines.
